Friends,
Today marks the 42nd anniversary of more than 500 American prisoners of war returning home with honor after enduring an unimaginable ordeal of up to 8 years in North Vietnamese prison camps.
They were greeted by their families, who had tirelessly rallied America on their behalf and thus ensured their safe return.
Defiant tells this epic from the perspective of 11 indomitable POW leaders and their equally-determined wives who founded the POW-MIA organization, one of the most extraordinary women’s movements in U.S. history. Honestly, I have never found a more astounding or inspiring story.
These 11 families have in many ways now become mine, and I believe it’s important to share their legacy – especially today.
Please like our Facebook page then share its newly-posted video trailer (co-produced by Tom Hanks). Let’s see how many people we can get to hear this story and welcome home its heroes. Here’s the link: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Alvin-Townley/182688561790748
Thank you for sharing the story and for helping honor these special men and women.
All best,
Alvin Townley
