At each Spirit of Adventure tour event, the local council or Scouting Alumni group (often NESA chapters) will announce a service initiative that will be supported by area Eagle Scouts and other Scouting alumni and performed for and with a respected local non-profit or government organization. The concept engages both active and long-lost alumni in a meaningful and familiar way that links to Scouting's commitment to service. Partnering with a respected local group enhances Scouting's public profile, generates media attention, and introduces more people to Scouting. The tour will start in
Other partnership ideas include working locally with The Nature Conservancy, city parks and community conservation groups, and Habitat for Humanity. The core idea is to provide alumni with an easy, familiar, and meaningful way to reconnect with Scouting. Their relationship and involvement will naturally grow from there.
